Letter from the CEO

Happy Spring and Tax Season!mark-carpenter-columbia-roofing_750xx4322-2431-0-321

With the spring blooms and sunshine comes our looming tax season as well! It’s a good time to reflect on the past year, yet focus on the excitement of the changes and growth happening around us at Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal and Long Beach Roofing, Inc. in this new year.

I feel very blessed and appreciative of the fine people who work here.

First off, I need to brag a little about our company being one of 34 applicators to be named to the Carlisle SynTec Systems 2017 Perfection Council. Please click here to read the press release for more details.  I am proud of all the people here who make this possible.  Carlisle is one of the most challenging manufacturers to be approved to install their roofing product.  Its field quality control is at a very high level, so this is quite an honor to be chosen for the third time in the past four years.  I will be celebrating this honor at an event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking of great people, Long Beach Roofing continues with its exciting growth. In addition to   Mike Walker and Ron Walker joining us, whom we talked about in our January newsletter, we are pleased to welcome Terry Brown to the Long Beach staff as a project manager.  These three individuals collectively bring nearly 100 years of professional experience to this growing team.

Springtime is also a good time to focus on our commitment to sustainability.

Next Saturday, April 22nd is Earth Day.  However, here we treat every day as Earth Day.  The Columbia Roof Advantage is about consistency, quality workmanship, as well as exceptional safety standards.  We mentioned our Downtown Self Storage project in January as well. Roofing magazine offered a nice profile of it in the March|April issue; noting in the “Roofing Report” section “The Columbia Roof Advantage is Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal’s initiative to help its commercial roofing clients keep their roofs in tiptop shape by following a simple, yet structured ongoing maintenance program.”  (You can read the full article here).

Last, but not least, we continue to build on The FISH! Philosophy, a fresh and powerful training solution, which keeps us all committed to building a strong family vision here at Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal and Long Beach Roofing. You can learn more about these successful techniques at www.fishphilosphy.com.

As always, we are committed to our Core Values of Integrity, Relationships, Respects, Results and Safety for our team of dedicated employees and our valued customers in all our regions!

Sincerely, Mark Carpenter
