People on the Move- Scott Haltiner

Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal welcomes the return of a long-time industry veteran

Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal is excited to welcome back Scott Haltiner as its Sheet Metal Foreman/Manager.  In this position, Haltiner will be responsible for supervision and control of the Sheet Metal Department, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Most recently, Haltiner worked for Fisher Roofing, originally a family business (formerly Haltiner Sheet Metal) that was sold to the Sherwood company.  Haltiner Sheet Metal was founded in 1980 by Scott’s father, Richard Haltiner, and it specializes in custom metal fabrication, continuous gutters, and custom copper fabrication in Lake Oswego.

“Upon leaving Columbia in July 2016, I returned to the family business where I have been the sole fabricator and installer,” he noted.  “I believe my skill set and work experience will be a great asset to Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal.  It’s good to be back!”

Mark Carpenter, CEO of Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal, said Haltiner’s more than two decades in the roofing industry is a very strong attribute for his 22-year-old commercial roofing company, which recently successfully completed the Carlisle ES-1 Certification Approval Program allowing for 14 ES-1 tested edge metal systems.

“We’re pleased to have Scott back after a short time away from our company,” Carpenter said.  “He has a long history in all phases of sheet metal and the roofing industry.  Scott is a master craftsman in the sheet metal field and a strong leader in management.  He is also skilled in an area of our company that we’re focused on expanding, which is in custom sheet metal fabrication including the addition of the Carlisle ES-1 sheet metal certification. This certification is the highest standard of sheet metal fabrication in conjunction with required wind up lift design and quality.”
