What were the issues we solved?
The roof installed solved continued leaking and water intrusion caused by the original failing roof.
How did the products solve those issues?
The 60mil PVC membrane created a new weather tight barrier by recovering the original BUR roof.
How long will this system last?
The new roof system will last for 25-30 years if properly maintained with an ongoing preventative maintenance program. The roof was enrolled in Carlisle’s ContinuCare Program which extends the 20-year NDL manufacture warranty to 25 years.
Will they see any savings in utility bills?
There may be some slight saving in the summer-time cooling months due to the reflectivity of the new membrane, however an insulation package is the key way to achieve energy savings which was not installed in this project.
Anything unique about the installed products?
The system is a rhinobond attachment assembly consisting of roughly 250 individual plates and fasteners for every 1,000 sqft of roof. This attachment will achieve a tremendous wind uplift rating. The system was installed to FM Global standards.
